Forums Now Open!

We're happy to announce the Forums are now open. The Diabetes Forum is only a few days old and as such it's a bit of a ghost town, but we're hoping before long people will be exchanging thoughts and experiences. If you are a Practitioner and would like to be a Forum moderator, please contact us. Don't be shy, be the first to post in the forums.

type 1 personal blogs Bernard's Blog

Originally from Ireland, I've lived in the US for over 20 years. I'm a person with Type 1 diabetes, who struggles with it as do most of us. I've been using a Minimed 512 since August 2003 and am looking forward to switching to a new model SOON. I also use a Dexcom CGM to track my blood glucose levels. I'm blessed by God, and every day brings the possibility of a cure.

Simon -- Paraparaumu, Kapiti Coast, New Zealand
A fifty-one year Englishman who now lives in Paraparaumu, on the Kapiti Coast of New Zealand. I make a living from computers and have done since 1980. I started programming the damn things, went on to designing them and now I'm a sort of "Computer Doctor" - fixing them and selling them too. I have a particular interest in Diabetes and Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), both of which I suffer from. "Trunkles", for those who are interested, is the name of a Morris Dance. Yep, I used to be a Morris Dancer. I still am one at heart but, alas, Morris Dancing doesn't really happen much in New Zealand, and even less around here.

type 1 personal blogs StickIt

Wrapped up in life: college, ice and roller hockey, snowboarding, family, friends, and staying healthy. My diagnosis of type 1 diabetes came on March 12, 2004. I had no idea what diabetes was all about, except for the stereotypes that somehow still maintain in our society. I aimed to absorb everything there was to learn about this new part of my life and to take this challenge on head first.
